Annex 2
YTU
PRINCIPLES REGARDING GRADUATION EXAM
(It was adopted in the Senate decision dated 07.02.2013 and numbered 2013 / 03-26.)
In order to be able to take the graduation exam, it is compulsory to fulfill the conditions for taking the final exam of the course. Students who fail to take the graduation exams are not entitled to make-up exams for this exam.
Graduation exam application is made through Student Automation System. The system automatically records the language of the course at the time of application, in which language the student has taken the course continuously (Turkish if the course is taken in Turkish and English if it is taken in English). However, if the course is taken in different languages at different periods, the student chooses the language of the course he / she will take for the graduation exam through the system. (Inserted by the Senate decision dated 09.11.2017 and numbered 2017 / 07-13.)
Students who have no more than two courses to graduate; Graduation exam is held for failed courses to be held on the dates specified in the academic calendar. Students who cannot graduate because their GPAs are not 2.00 can take the graduation exam from a maximum of two conditional successful courses. (Amendment with the decision of the Senate dated 09.06.2016 / 02-13)
In order to be successful in the graduation exam, it is compulsory to obtain at least CC grade. The grade taken in the exam replaces the grade of the course. Mid-term exams and mid-term studies do not participate in the evaluation.
DC and lower grades will not be taken into consideration. Therefore, the grade of the student's course will remain as the grade before the graduation exam.
Students who have not taken a course before or who have an F0 grade from any course cannot take the graduation exam of any course.
Students whose application does not comply with the Graduation Exam Principles will not be evaluated after the receipt of the applications and if they take the exam inadvertently, the exam results will be considered invalid.
Students with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 and above can only take the exam from the courses they have failed.
Students with a GPA of less than 2 can take the exams from their conditionally successful courses of their choice. Since a student can take the exam from a maximum of 2 courses, the total of failed courses and conditional successful courses, if any, cannot exceed 2. In order to register for a successful conditional course, the student must first register for the failed course.
For the semester that the graduation exam will be taken, the students who have not made a course selection but who will benefit from the graduation exam are required to pay the tuition fee for the semester they will take the exam. (16.04.2015 / 01-06 Inserted with the decision of the Senate.)
