The countdown has begun for the 2024 YTÜ Statistics Department League-Style Soccer Tournament.😊
- The tournament is scheduled to begin at the end of March.
- Undergraduate and graduate students, alumni, preparatory class students of the YTÜ Department of Statistics, or individuals directly affiliated with the Department of Statistics (such as students pursuing a Double Major or Minor) are eligible to participate in the tournament.
- Teams may recruit one goalkeeper from outside the department (provided they are YTÜ students). A goalkeeper recruited from outside the department may not play in any position other than goalkeeper.
- Teams will take the field with 7 players (6 players + 1 person). If a team chooses, it may take the field with 6 players. In this case, the opposing team’s captain may choose to field 7 players, and the match may be played with 7 players against 6. Additionally, if the team captains agree on the day of the match, teams may take the field with 6 players each.
- Teams generally take the field short-handed due to injuries or students having other commitments on game day. For this reason, teams should have as many substitute players as possible.
- Teams may make player transfers until the group stage ends, provided they notify the organizers via email at karadagt@yildiz.edu.tr. The transfer window will close after the group stage.
- Captains must submit their team names and rosters to karadagt@yildiz.edu.tr by Monday, March 25, 2024.
- Participants are not required to form teams within their own class. Teams may be formed with members from mixed classes.
