Tournament Rules:

*In this 12-team tournament, each team will play two matches in a round-robin format, meaning every team will have played two
matches.*At the end of the round-robin stage, quarterfinal and semifinal matchups will be determined as follows: 1 vs. 8, 4 vs. 5; 2 vs. 7, 3 vs. 6. The teams finishing in 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th place will be eliminated
.*Matches will consist of two 25-minute halves.
*In the quarterfinals and semifinals, if the score remains tied at the 20-minute mark of the second half, a 5-minute “golden goal” period will be played. If the tie is still not broken, the winner will be determined by a series of three penalty kicks each. If the tie remains unbroken, penalty kicks will continue with the next three players from each team taking turns until one team scores and the other misses. If the score is still tied after all players on both teams have taken a penalty kick (after all 6 players on the field have taken a penalty kick), the team with the fewest cards (yellow cards count as 1 point, red cards as 3 points) will advance to the next round. This is due to the fact that there is another match scheduled immediately after this one, and therefore there is no time to spare
.*Two hours will be allocated for the final match, and each half will consist of 30 minutes
.*A team that forfeit the match will be declared the winner
4-0.*Each team will have 6 players on the
field, including the goalkeeper.*If a player from a team is 5–10 minutes late for the match, that player will not be waited for—since the match must start as soon as possible—and the team will start the match with one
player short.*Player substitutions may be made an unlimited number of times. A player may leave the field to be replaced by another
player and re-enter the game a few minutes later.*For each match, two people will be assigned: one as the referee and the other as an assistant referee off the field (to record goals, assists, yellow cards, red cards, etc.). *A player who
receives a red card during a match will be suspended from the next match
.*Yellow cards received in one match will not affect subsequent
matches.*Teams may make transfers during the tournament, provided they are reported to karadagt@yildiz.edu.tr. A player who has played for one team in the tournament cannot transfer to another team
.*Transfers cannot be made after the regular league season (before
the quarterfinal matches) has ended.*Teams may consist of YTÜ Statistics Department undergraduate students, alumni, graduate students, doctoral students, research assistants, and faculty members. Therefore, anyone with a direct affiliation with the YTÜ Statistics Department may be transferred to a team. Additionally, the two teams participating as guests from the Elementary Mathematics Education Department may also recruit players
from their own classes.*The championship trophy and medals will be presented to the winning team
immediately after the match.*The tournament’s best lineup will be determined based on a survey conducted among tournament participants prior to the final match. Medals will be awarded to those selected for the tournament’s
best lineup.*Plaques will also be awarded to the tournament’s top scorer, top assist provider
, best player, and best goalkeeper after the final match.*In addition to Assistant Professor Tugay KARADAĞ, Azad Kıncal from the Inter Medyan team and Hasan Çölgeçen from the Broski FK team are involved in organizing the tournament; in the event that an immediate decision must be made, the judgment of these individuals will prevail.
